Jiro Taniguchi (谷口 ジロー Taniguchi Jirō, 14 August 1947 – 11 February 2017) was a Japanese manga writer/artist. In France he was knighted a Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2011. (Quoted from Wikipedia.org)
I was born in Valenciennes (Northern France) in 1974 to a French mother and an Austrian father. I live near Innsbruck in Austria where I work as a freelance illustrator. Some of my works (caricatures, cartoons and illustrations) have been published in books (Ernst Klett Verlag, dtv Verlag, Oebv, riva Verlag, Westermann Gruppe) and printed on posters and T-shirts (www.vesteesquerda.com.br). I regularly participate in international cartoon and caricature contests where my drawings were shown in many catalogues and exhibitions.

I think there's a lot of Japanese settled in France during old times. Just an observation.
Well done by the way!
